GOOGLE CLASSROOM PLANNER THAT ACTUALLY SYNCS
Your teachers post assignments in Google Classroom. BalanceBoard pulls them in automatically — so you're not copying due dates by hand, and you're not missing things you forgot to copy. Every assignment, every class, one place.
Connect Classroom free →Why syncing beats manual entry every time
The number one reason students stop using a planner app is that keeping it updated manually is too much work. You have to remember to open the app every time a teacher posts something, copy it over correctly, and not miss anything. That's a lot of friction on top of an already-busy day.
Sync removes all of that. Your Google Classroom assignments show up in BalanceBoard automatically. You can add your own notes, study sessions, and non-Classroom stuff on top — but the foundation is always current without any manual work from you.
How the sync works
1. Connect
Sign in with Google and give BalanceBoard read-only access to your Classroom. Takes about 30 seconds.
2. Auto-import
Your courses, assignments, and due dates pull in immediately. New assignments sync automatically when teachers post them.
3. Add what's missing
Manually add anything not on Classroom — reading assignments, SAT prep, extracurricular reminders.
Privacy — what we access and what we don't
We access
- — Course names
- — Assignment titles
- — Due dates
We do NOT access
- — Your email or Gmail
- — Your grades
- — Your submitted work
- — Any other Google data
Read-only OAuth means BalanceBoard literally cannot change anything in your Google Classroom — it can only read the assignment data you allow it to see.
Frequently asked questions
How does the Google Classroom sync work?
BalanceBoard connects to Google Classroom using read-only OAuth access. It pulls your course names, assignment titles, and due dates automatically. We never modify your Classroom data — we only read it.
Is the Google Classroom integration free?
Yes. Google Classroom sync is part of the free tier — you don't need to pay to connect your Classroom account.
What data does BalanceBoard access from Google Classroom?
Read-only access to your enrolled courses, assignment names, and due dates. BalanceBoard does not access your email, your submissions, your grades, or any other Google data. Read-only means we cannot make any changes to your Classroom.
Can I add assignments that aren't on Google Classroom?
Yes. You can manually add anything — teacher announcements, reading assignments posted on paper, SAT prep sessions, anything. The Classroom sync is a starting point, not the whole system.
Does it work if my school uses a different LMS?
Google Classroom sync is the main integration right now. If your school uses Canvas, Schoology, or another platform, you can still use BalanceBoard — you'll just add assignments manually. More integrations are in progress.
